We exist to nurture connection, creativity and wellbeing for veterans, families, and locals in Connah’s Quay and the surrounding areas. A sense of community is at the heart of everything we do and we believe in making the world a better place one friendship at a time while providing encouragement to, and maximising the potential of, veterans in the civilian arena.
Our goal is inclusivity and we have a particular interest in supporting those who have experienced traumatic events as well as those with behaviours recognised as being part of the Neurodivergent spectrum.

Established for seven years and originally funded through the Armed Forces Covenant Trust and LIBOR money, in October 2022 the veterans were told the project would end in early 2023. With no legacy plan put in place by the previous managers Care & Repair, the veteran community showed amazing resilience and developed The VC Hub into an independent CIC. With great generosity Connah's Quay Council allowed the renting of a retail unit. The VC Hub moved into it in early March 2023 and just six months later Caffinaafi opened its doors for the first time.

Creating a space where everybody belongs.

Using art, music, and creative self-expression for healing and connection.

Serving practical and emotional needs through community-led resources.
